Luke Perry was hospitalized urgently Wednesday, February 27, 2019, on the same day that a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot was announced. He was suffering a massive stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, California. Five days later, on March 4, 2019, Perry has passed away due to complications from his stroke. He was 52 years old.
Coy Luther “LUKE” Perry III was born on October 11, 1996, in Mansfield, Ohio. He is an amazingly talented American actor known for playing Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills. He also had guest roles on famous shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Will & Grace.
From 2017 until his death, Perry starred as Frederick “Fred” Andrews, Archie’s father, on the CW series Riverdale, an American teen drama TV series. The series follows Archie Andrews’ life in the small town of Riverdale and explores the darkness hidden behind its seemingly perfect image.
Since the announcement of the hospitalization of Luke Perry, the victim of a cerebrovascular accident, the support messages were unbelievable. On the social networks, thousands of fans of the 52 years old actor had expressed their concern. Among them, there are also several stars including Shannen Doherty, his partner on screen in Beverly Hills. On her Instagram account, the actress, herself recently treated for cancer, had posted an old photo of them two in the cult series. “My friend, I’m hugging you and giving you strength, you’ll do it,” writes Shannen Doherty.
The actor died on Monday, surrounded by his family.
